Our Declaration and Purpose
Cornerstone Community School represents a community of like-minded Christians who share a common conviction regarding the standards and methods of moral and academic training of our children. We intend to provide a school whose government, people, policies, procedures, and practices are entirely Christian in all respects. We also strive to maintain a school environment that facilitates the righteous objective of community members to mature their children in the precepts and holiness of Christ. We further intend to provide a superior education to each of our students which is marked by academic excellence and exceeds the requirements of local, state, and federal agencies.
Mission and Distinctives
Cornerstone Community School is a community of like-minded, Christ-centered families committed to the pursuit of Godly character through Christian education.
We exist so that our children may:
1. Know God (Phil. 3: 1 0; John 17:3.)
2. Love God (Deut. 6:4-6; Matt. 19:19; John 4:19.)
3. Delight in the Law of the Lord (Ps.119:16, 35; Josh.1:8,John 14:45.)
4. Love others (Phil. 2:3-5 (NIV); Matt. 22:37; Mark 12:30; Luke 10:27.)
5. Make disciples (Matt. 28:19-20; Acts 1:8; Mark 16:16; Luke 24:27.)
6. Develop godly relationships (Ps. 51:17; Matt. 13:44-46; Rom. 6:13, 16, & 19.)
7. Be educated with a Christian worldview (Prov. 3:7 & 24:6; 2Cor. 10:5.)
We exist so that the parents may:
I . Find encouragement in godly parenting and in their own sanctification process (3John 3-4, Phil. 2:13.)
2. Have fellowship with like-minded believers (I Cor. 1: 10; Rom. 15:5.)
3. Minister to one another (I Cor. 12:25; 1 Pet. 4: 10.)
4. Have accountability (Gal. 6: 1; Matt. 18:15.)
We desire to provide an environment that:
1. Protects the innocence of the children (Prov. 4:23.)
2. Is morally pure (2Cor. 6:16-17; Is. 52: 11.)
3. Is loving and nurturing (John 13:35; I John 3:14.)
4. Provides healthy competition in education with the express purpose of glorifying God (I Cor. 10:31; Matt. 5:26.)
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses,... let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith..." Hebrews 12:1,2
Our teachers can teach because our parents are parenting!
In order to effectively educate the children God has placed in our care, we believe certain principles are foundational while selecting our educational system. Therefore, we believe that an educational institution should:
1. Teach a biblical world view.
2. Teach eveything in light of and through the filter of Scripture.
3. Uphold the behavioral and character standards of a Godly home.
4. Respect the parents' role as the God-ordained trainers of their children.
5. Provide Godly role models whose lives are strong in character and personal discipline.
6. Provide positive peer influence.
We believe the Bible to be the authoritative Word of God (literally God-breathed), in errant verbally inspired and infallible in its original state; divinely preserved in reliability throughout the ages in all essential doctrines, declarations, quotations, and intentions. We believe there is one true God, manifested eternally in three distinct Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of Jesus Christ, the second person of the Trinity Who possesses all the divine attributes, and is co-equal, co-existent, co-eternal, and one in nature with the Father. We believe in Christ's virgin birth and that He was God incarnate (both God and man) for the purpose of revealing the Father, redeeming men, and ruling over God's kingdom. Jesus accomplished man's redemption by the vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood and sacrificial death on the cross. By His literal, physical resurrection from the dead and His ascension to the right hand of the Father, the sinner can be justified. We believe Jesus to be the mediator between God and man Who will return in Glory to judge all mankind.
We believe the Holy Spirit is the third member of the Trinity possessing all the divine attributes with the Father and the Son. The Holy Spirit is the supernatural and sovereign agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ at the moment of conversion. The Holy Spirit also indwells, sanctifies, instructs, and empowers all believers for spiritual service. We believe everything in the created universe is a revelation of God's infinity, diversity, and individuality. God created distinct individualities and at once, maintains the identity and purpose of each, while He relates all into one purposeful whole; God created man in the image of Himself. We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit who administers spiritual gift(s) to each believer for the purpose of equipping the saints and for the building up of the body of Christ.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the saved and the lost; the saved to eternal life, the lost to everlasting punishment.
We believe that all who put their faith in Jesus Christ are placed by the Holy Spirit into the spiritual body of believers known as "the church", with Christ established as the head. The purpose of the church is to glorify God by the teaching and instruction of Scripture, by providing fellowship, and by fulfilling the great commission to reach the world for Jesus Christ.
We believe that man, in his natural state, is a sinner and that the penalty for sin is eternal separation from the Father. We believe that eternal life is a free gift of grace bestowed upon each repentant sinner who responds in faith to the provision of salvation from Jesus Christ. Regeneration is instantaneous and is accomplished solely by the power of the Holy Spirit. Genuine regeneration will manifest itself by righteous attitudes, edifying conduct, and good works to the extent that each believer submits himself to the control of the Holy Spirit. The parents and staff of Cornerstone Community School avoid highly debatable topics that tend to divide evangelical believers. Such topics would include mode of 'baptism, communion, manifestations of the gifts of the Holy Spirit, and the end times. Students are referred to their parents if a debatable topic of a theological nature arises on school campus days.
We are a fellowship of Christians having, a commonality of purpose and thought regarding the biblical mandates governing marriage and the training of our children. Community is the environment in which we seek the goal (i.e. soil in the garden).

- Mutual respect (Ephesians 4:29-32)
- Mentoring (Philippians 3:17)
- Uniqueness (I Peter 2:9-12)
- Nurturing (I Cor.15:58)
